If you get a straight talk phone can you transfer stuff like pics from your cell to computer through usb?!!!?

Okay so I got a tracfone but I am sending it back cause they say on Wikipedia that it's a "locked" phone and you can't hook your phone up by usb to your computer and transfer songs pic and wallpapers and ringtone...the only way is to buy them straight from tracfone. Sooo is it the same with the straight talk phones?!!
